Sims Park in New Port Richey is temporarily closed after police say someone died in a rappelling incident.

A 16-year-old girl died Sunday and another remained in critical condition after a sledding accident in Frisco.

RIB MOUNTAIN, Wis (WAOW) — A skier has died after crashing into a tree at Granite Peak. The Wausau Pilot and Review reports that the unidentified man crashed into a tree after losing a ski and falling. Ski patrol helped the man to the bottom of the hill and provided first aid until an ambulance arrived. He was taken to a local hospital and died.
