Amid reports of a growing number of legal claims against the online gaming platform and virtual world Roblox, the company has announced plans to introduce new features to safeguard interactions among younger players.

The new safety measure comes as Roblox faces criticism and at least 35 lawsuits alleging users meet and abuse children on the gaming platform or that the platform helps facilitate child sexual exploitation and grooming.

Roblox will soon require facial age verification for all chat features, enforcing age-based communication groups and introducing major safety upgrades to protect younger users globally.
