Powerful earthquakes hit the west coast of the US on Thursday. According to the US Geological Survey, a 7.0 quake rocked the northern California coast. Shortly afterwards, a 5.8 quake hit in northern Sonoma County, followed by several smaller aftershocks. The quakes put a tsunami warning in effect for part of the North Coast. Surveillance cameras captured a car crashing into a Las Vegas-area backyard. The car's driver was flung out of the vehicle, landing in a swimming pool. Homeowner Cletis Reed was about to relax in his hot tub when the accident happened. He told Inside Edition, "It sounded like a freight train."
